The DP-008 Pocketstudio is Tascam's most-compact 8-track digital recorder and is powerful, versatile, yet simple to operate.

Record two tracks simultaneously in CD quality 44.1kHz / 16-bit resolution and work with up to eight tracks in a multi-track project with the Tascam DP-008 digital Pocketstudio recorder. Use the Tascam DP-008 recorder's mixer to mix the tracks down to a stereo master. This stereo master can be transfered via high speed USB 2.0 to a computer along with song and track data. You can export your mix, or even individual tracks, as a WAV or MP3 file.

Use the built-in stereo omnidirectional microphones to record sound ideas, or plug studio quality condenser mics into the phantom powered XLR inputs or plug an electric guitar directly in to lay tracks. The Tascam DP-008 includes a metronome and chromatic tuner for tight-sounding tracks. The Tascam DP-008 also allows you to digitally bounce tracks to make room for more, and touches like editing and undo make recording stress-free.

The 8-track TASCAM DP-008 Digital Pocketstudio provides dedicated knobs for volume and pan for each track, plus a send knob for the built-in reverb effect. The TASCAM DP-008 also has 2 XLR microphone inputs with phantom power for condenser microphones, a guitar level Hi-Z input and built-in stereo omnidirectional mics, so you're ready to record anything. Tracks mix down to a dedicated stereo track with EQ available on each track. Even so, the TASCAM Portastudio interface keeps it simple to use. The Tascam DP-008 Pocketstudio records to SD and SDHC Card media from 512 MB to 32 GB and ships with a 2GB SD card.

The Tascam DP-008 pocketstudio includes handy extras to help your recording projects: a guitar tuner, a metronome to get everything in time, a 1/4-inch footswitch input to use when you are recording yourself to punch in to fix a track, and a stereo reverb effect on a send/return path. Once tracks are recorded, send either the mixed down stereo version or individual tracks to your computer via the Tascam DP-008 recorder's USB port for processing via a DAW.
