Studiologic Numa Organ
The Numa Organ master MIDI controller combines physical modelling of 12 electromechanical organs with control provided by 9 drawbars, rotary/modulation wheel, and chorus/vibrato knob. It also has built-in effects and a keybed with 61 waterfall keys that can be switched from fixed velocity in organ mode, to dynamic mode for expressive playing when used as a MIDI controller for other instrument sounds.
The StudioLogic Numa Organ was designed in cooperation with jazz organist Joey DeFrancesco and is as close to a tone wheel organ as you can get in a mobile 22-lb. chassis. You get 73 keys of Fatar's waterfall action, nine drawbars, and a range of controllers inspired by the Hammond B-3. A "clonewheel" is judged by the sound of its rotary speaker emulation, and the Numa Organ doesn't disappoint, delivering "B" type with spot-on drive, key-click, and leakage.
