Roland's radical AX-Synth shoulder synthesizer gives new life to a classic design, and allows keyboard players to step out from behind their keyboards and connect with the audience as guitarists and singers do. The 49-key AX-Synth offers a powerful built-in Roland sound engine packed with solo-oriented synthesizer sounds, all easily navigable onstage via a bright display. And, with pitch-bend ribbon controller, D Beam, and modulation bar, the Roland AX-Synth provides a ton of expressive control strapped onto your shoulder. While you can use the Roland AX-Synth by itself for killer sounds, you can also connect it with your computer via its USB connection, then use the AX-Synth to play your favorite virtual instruments onstage.

While the Roland AX-Synth features a ton of great solo sounds, you can also use the included PC software editor/librarian application to customize your sounds. The AX-Synth's USB/MIDI connector makes tweaking then loading your new sounds simple.

The Roland AX-Synth is powered by an AC adapter, but for ultimate gigging freedom, can be powered for up to six hours via 8 Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Connect the Roland AX-Synth up to your wireless instrument body pack transmitter to take your keyboard performances wire-free. Not only can you use the Roland AX-Synth for gigging synthesizer performances - but using the V-Link button, you can also control video.
