The Propellerhead Balance with Reason Essentials DAW is a low-latency 2-in x 2-out 24-bit 96kHZ USB 2.0 interface with the Clip Safe function to ensure you will never lose a track because of distortion. The built-in Ignition Key makes your Reason rig more portable. Propellerhead designed the Balance audio interface to be easy and ready to use. Turn it on and start recording. Balance comes bundled with Reason Essentials fully featured music creation and recording software. Connect to two 48V phantom-powered XLR mic inputs or two 1/4-inch guitar/instrument inputs simultaneously, in any combination required. Two sets of of stereo 1/4-inch inputs let you hook up your keyboard or other outboard gear. The Balance interface has two TRS balanced main outputs for monitors plus one headphone output. Each output has its own independent control knob.

Reason Essentials DAW is a streamlined version of Propellerhead's Reason and Record software, now merged into a single music creation and recording program. Included are the music creation tools, synths, drum machines, and virtual instruments that made Reason famous, along with the audio recording features of Record. Dr. OctoRex combines the loop-playback of eight Dr. Rex modules and adds loop-slice manipulation and playback options. There are built-in Line 6 guitar and bass PODs, for a huge selection of amps, cabs, and effects.

Balance also works with any music software as long as it runs Core Audio (Mac), ASIO (Windows), or WDM (Windows) drivers.
