The Novation Launchpad control surface for Ableton Live is made for Ableton Live, but can be used with any MIDI-triggering controller. The Launchpad features 72 trigger buttons making it an amazing companion to Live's Session View. The Launchpad's buttons are backlit, so you always know which clips are playing, loaded, or record enabled. Ddicated buttons launch scenes. If you don't use Live, use Launchpad to map map out the controls however you want, Launchpad ships bundled with Novation AutoMap software. Use up to six Novation Launchpads at once!

Novation Launchpad works with Novation's Automap software to control VST, AU, RTAS, and TDM plug-ins, as well as an increasing number of standalone samplers and step-sequencers. Automap provides a heads-up transparent display across your computer screen for at-a-glance recognition of what you're controlling. Assign and re-assign parameters with just a quick click and a tap.

Novation Launchpad is USB bus-powered and has a 10" square desktop footprint. Rubber feet ensure Launchpad stays secure on the surface, and an optional padded neoprene travel sleeve is available. It ships with a USB cable, plus a DVD ROM with Mac and PC installers for a special Launchpad Version of Ableton Live 8, as well as 1GB of sample content from Loopmasters and Mike The Drummer. It also comes Automap enabled.
