The Korg padKONTROL expands the KONTROL range of MIDI studio controllers with 16 velocity sensitive trigger pads enabling you to trigger sounds using your fingertips, X-Y touchpad and 2 assignable knobs and buttons for an expressive MIDI performance. Controlling not only drum samples and sounds, Korg padKONTROL can also control soft synths, effects and DAW transport controls as well as trigger loops and video clips.

The assignable X-Y touchpad provides realtime, natural sounding flams and rolls. The X-Y touchpad is a control surface version of a joystick, ang gives fingertip control of any two continuous MIDI controllers in real time. One assigned on the horizontal and the second along the vertical axis. As you move your fingertip over the pad, you get a proportional mix of two continuos controller values. Each of the padKONTROL 16 trigger pads can be individually assigned a note number and MIDI channel, and you can choose from eight different dynamic curves as well as either MIDI or USB output for each pad. A 7-segment 3-digit LED display and LED illuminated trigger pads keeps you informed. Controller setups can be stored in 16 User Scenes, and padKONTROL includes 30 Korg preset scenes.

The Korg padKONTROL comes bundled a special Korg edition of dfh SUPERIOR from Toontracks, a 260MB drum kit featuring multiple velocity levels and a variety of microphone positions totaling 2,700 samples.
