The Korg KAOSSILATOR is battery powered portable touch-pad controller that provides synthesizer sounds without the need of using a keyboard. Kaossilator provides keyboardists, guitarists, and DJs a convenient way to add fresh elements to a band performance or to a DJ set.

Because of its ultra-compact size, battery operation and hooks for attaching a strap, the Korg KAOSSILATOR makes it easy for you to start creating music whenever and wherever inspiration strikes you. Kaossilator is a portable Korg synthisizer filled with Korg's synth sounds, sound effects, arpeggiators, loop recoding and 31 scale patterns and allows playing musical phrases at the tap of a button or by sliding a finger over the touch pad.

Kaossilator ships with 100 sound programs from Korg's modelling synthesizer engine with multi-effects from the KAOSS Pad series. The touch pad's horizontal axis is assigned to note / pitch while the vertical axis is assigned to various parameters like cut-ff, feedback or modulation dept. In addition to classic synth sounds, the Kaossilator contains simulated piano, guitar and trumpet sounds, looped and single drum sounds. KAOSSILATOR offers 31 different scales, including chromatic and dimished, major and minor blues and pentatonic scales, as well as exotic scales like Spanish, Syukyu and Raga. Play in in key using the key setting function. Gate Arpeggiator produces note patterns in sync with user specified tempos. Loop Recording records a specific number of beats to a maximum of 2 bars and adds layers.
