It was already in 1952 when Gibson introduced the first Les Paul- a guitar that was to shape rock music like no other guitar. It helped whole generations of the most influential guitarists to live up to their creativity and contributed greatly to the musical breakthrough of Rock ´n Roll. The musical evolution of the past 50 years is mainly down to the Gibson Les Paul! Even though it’s been more than half a century now, Gibson still haven’t lost their famous urge for innovation and tireless pioneering spirit which shows in their recent developments and constant addition of new features.

Having always been outshined by the Les Paul Standard models, the Les Paul Studio finally managed to establish itself as a great instrument with excellent features. It uses exclusive woods (mahogany body and maple top) and the popular 490R and 498T Alnico Humbuckers that deliver a great sound made for professionals producing a lot of sustain and tonal depth which is highly appreciated.
In addition to the models with solid colours, Gibson now offers models with beautiful flamed maple tops as well due to increasing demand.
