Aimed at guitarists from the beginner wanting to practice to more experienced players wanting to record tracks on a computer, the 1-channel Fender Mustang II combo amp contains highly accurate amp modelling, a collection of DSP effects (12 Modulation Effects Including Chorus, Flanger, Tremolo, Vibratone, Octaver, Phaser, Step Filter, 12 Delay/Reverb Effects Including Tape Delay, Stereo/Mono Delay, Room/Plate/Hall Reverb), and speaker emulated USB output. The carbon tweed textured vinyl with silver grill cloth design is visually striking example of classic Fender styling.

The Fender Mustang II has got a loud, lightweight 40-Watt power amplifierand a 12-inch Fender Special Design speaker in its solidly built cabinet. Controls include Gain, Volume, Treble, Bass, Master, Preset Select, Modulation Select, Delay/Reverb Select, Save Button, Exit Button, Tap Tempo Button. The Mustang II combo comes with 24 factory presets built from 8 amp models and 24 effects, with tones from vintage Fender to modern metal. The number of amp models can be increased with the USB connection and the included Fender Fuse software, letting you completely reconfigure the amp. The USB connection also serves as a high-quality, low-latency audio output, making it easy to record tracks to the included Ableton Live Lite 8 Fender Edition software. Also included is IK Multimedia's Amplitube Fender LE software. 1/8" headphone jack doubles as speaker emulated line output.

The Fender Fuse software provides on-screen parameter control, deep editing, hidden effects, unlimited preset storage, online preset swapping with the Fender FUSE community, and free Fender artist presets.
