The Nord Electro 3 has no problem stepping in the footsteps of the original Electro and by doing so profits from the other Nord models. The Electro 3 offers an organ section, a new piano section and - the absolute highlight - all samples from the the Nord Wave Library can be used.

The user can load any virtual sound he needs into his Nord Electro 3. He has a choice of sounds from the Mellotron Library as well as every other instrument or sound of the Nord Sample Library that has the same format as the Nord Wave.

The Electro 3 uses the same sample format as the favoured Nord Stage for its piano sounds. Electro 3 users can therefore use the fantastic Nord Piano Library (more vilocity layer, pedal down samples with surpassing impressions). All current and future pianos for the Nord Stage family are available for the Nord Electro 3.

The Nord Electro 3 has a memory capacity of 256 MB for pianos and samples and can store 126 programs. The organ section derives from the awarded Nord C1 Combo Organ with its fabulous vintage sounds, the Farfisa and the Vox models. Each and every individual influencing sound component, as well as the artefacts of the original instruments have been reproduced accurately in the Nord Electro 3.

The Nord Electro 3 is equipped with a wide variety of high-quality effects including a reverb with 5 different algorhythms. Tremelo, panning, wah-wah, phaser, flanger and chorus are still available.

New Amplifier Emulation, Compressor and EQ
The user can create his individual sound out of three different amplifier emulations. It´s up to him how high the "Dirt"-proportion and distortion should be. A 3-band EQ with tuned mids and a compressor make fine-tuning perfect.


Improved Rotary Speaker Emulation
The Rotary Speaker Emulation is the improved version of the Nord C1 Combo Organ which is well-known for its original reproduction of acoustic variations that occur when a physical speaker emits its sound into a room and makes the surrounding air vibrate.

Furthermore the Electro 3 offers a new function as an addition to the rotary stop mode. This enables the user to switch between fast and stop rotation and back. Naturally this can also be regulated at the rotor pedal input. This general function is similar to the old rotary speaker model function with only one speed.

The Nord Electro 3 has an audio input for MP3- or CD-players so the user can play to recorded music, practice or just simply jam without needing a mixer or an additional sound system. The signal from the monitoring input is then at the headphone output.

The Electro Manager Software is for free and enables the comfortable administration of the pianos, samples and program memory in the Nord Electro 3. The Electro Manager is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS-X.
