AKG Rhythm Pack
The AKG Rhythm Pack 6-piece drum mic kit contains 1 x AKG D112 kick drum mic, 2 x AKG C430 overhead mics and 3 x AKG D40 tom and snare mics. Also included are the necessary accessories: 3 mounting brackets, 3 mic stand adaptors and 2 windscreens all in a protective aluminium carrying case.
The D112 is considered the ultimate kick drum mic, handling up to 160 dB SPL with no audible distortion for a defined and forceful kick drum sound. The D112 mic's specially engineered diaphragm with a very low resonance frequency maintains solid and powerful response below 100Hz, while a narrow band presence rise at 4kHz punches through dense mixes with little or no added EQ. The cardioid polar pattern AKG D112 is also an excellent choice for micing bass cabs, trombone, and other low-frequency instruments.
The D40 dynamic cardioid instrument mic features a solid all-metal body that will stand up to the hardships of night-after-night gigging use. Great for micing toms and snares, the 75 to 20,000 Hz D40 is also used for micing wind instruments and guitar amps.
Specifically designed for cymbal and overhead miking, the 20Hz - 20kHz frequency response of the C430 ensures a uniquely crisp sound. The extremely compact C430 small-diaphragm cardioid condenser mic means a low profile on the drum kit without compromising audio quality.
